I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the lovely Mandy Jakich on her wonderful Podcast, Creative Matters.
Mandy is such a gorgeous, gentle soul and her take on podcasting is very much aligned with this.
And I find the diversity of her guests so interesting and enriching.
Let me just say, this is not the kind of thing I could have seen myself doing, even 5 years ago.
But finally pushing myself to release all this pent up creativity that has been building up over so many years got me across the line!
I'm finally putting aside the time for it and calling it 'important'.
Aligning myself with what I can offer and where I really want to sit has been so eye opening for my kids too; they finally see I have more to offer than just a baking, cleaning and their on the spot taxi service😆 . I'm sure this will have long term benefits for my daughter in particular in whatever she chooses to do.
Adding creativity into my life in such a direct way has enabled me to find a confidence, I can honestly say I haven't felt before. It's not a straight line by any means and there have been and will always be bumps in the road but it's the road I want to be on.
Hey, life is short, so I took the leap, safe in the knowledge Mandy would look after me.
Ok, metaphors aside, have a listen, and let me know what you think.
